EVERYTHING IS NEW, issued by New Zealand Post under license from New Line Productions, Inc. and all stamp designs were personally approved by director Peter Jackson. Sacha Lees at WETA Workshop in Miramar, Wellington - part of the same team nominated for three Academy Awards and winner of two prestigious BAFTA Awards - designed the 2001 'Fellowship of the Ring' and subsequent 2002 'Two Towers' stamps releases; the 2003 'Return of the King' stamp issue was designed by Frans Lenzen at CommArts Design also in Wellington.
Mostly out of print (OOP), these limited edition Fellowship of the Ring, Two Towers and Return of the King philatelic items represent a superb and unique opportunity to commemorate these monumental movies. Unfortunately, as some of the best quality and most desirable 'The Lord of the Rings' authorized collectibles available, they are likely to increase in value and scarcity as more fans and collectors discover them.
WE ANTICIPATE INTEREST in authentic 'The Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit' stamp items will dramatically increase in the build up to the release of Peter Jackson’s 'The Hobbit' in late 2012 and 2013. Principal filming on the two part The Hobbit begins in February 2011. Many of Peter Jackson’s 'The Lord of the Rings' movies are still available on DVD and Blu-Ray, with both Theatrical and Extended movie editions available on Blu-Ray from April 2010.

To coincide with the release of The Return of the King in December 2003, New Zealand Post in conjunction with the British Royal Mint, issued a series of limited edition Lord of the Rings Collector's Coins. (Visit Lord Of The Rings Coins for more details and images.) Unlike previous Lord of the Rings medallions these New Zealand coins are legal tender, but given their expected popularity they were not available for long. Several sets were released including: "The One Ring" 50 Cent Uncirculated coins in cupro-nickel, "The Ring of Power" $1 Brilliant Uncirculated coin in nickel-brass, "The One Ring" $1 Silver Proof coin in 999 fine silver with gold plated One Ring, and the much sought after "The One Ring" $10 Gold Proof coin in 22 carat rose gold.
Regrettably all these New Zealand Lord of the Rings coins are long sold out in the primary market, however most are still available from reputable coin dealers and auctions sites such as eBay (direct search links below).

Different catalogs were issued for each commemorative stamp release.
BUY FROM US with the confidence that we abide by the American Philatelic Society’s Code of Conduct for stamp sales - all such items we offer are genuine NZ Post stamp issues licensed from New Line Productions and approved by director Peter Jackson. Do note that there are numerous fake or illegal ‘Lord of the Rings’ issues in circulation allegedly from ex-Russian or African republics (or non-existent countries) which are occasionally offered by unscrupulous stamp dealers and eBay sellers. Such fakes are referred to as Cinderellas or 'fantasy' labels: they look like real postage stamps, but are merely gummed labels designed to deceive stamp collectors. As a reputable stamp dealer we strongly advise you NOT to purchase fakes or counterfeits. If you have mistakenly purchased any believing them to be genuine stamps you should ask for a full refund from the seller, and notify the auction site and relevant authorities of fraud if applicable. You can find more information on fake stamps and a list of dealers known to sell them courtesy of PWMO and Wax Museum of Illegal Stamps.
