40 cent stamp design: Aragorn and Eowyn

Aragorn, Heir of Gondor (Viggo Mortensen) enjoys a ride and walk with Lady Éowyn of Rohan (Miranda Otto), niece of King Théoden. The beautiful Shield Maiden of Rohan is an accomplished swordswoman and wishes that her noble blood wouldn’t deny her the chance to fight alongside Aragorn, helping defend Helm’s Deep fortress.

Orcs, such as this raider riding a Warg, hunt in vicious wolf-like packs revealing their primitive nature. Most vulnerable alone, these human-elven hybrids were purposely created by Sauron as slaves to help destroy the fledgling race known as Man.

A formation of Haradrim soldiers who march under the banner of a black serpent. Many races are represented in Sauron’s armies of the Third Age, including the savage people of the East or 'Easterlings'.
1.50 dollar stamp design: Frodo is captured by Faramir’s men

Frodo (Elijah Woods) and Sam are captured by Faramir (younger brother of Boromir) putting their mission to destroy the One Ring in imminent danger. Gollum is leading them deep inside Mordor so they can destroy the Ruling Ring of the Dark Lord in the fires of Mount Doom from whence it was forged.
2.00 dollar stamp design: Eowyn on the steps of Meduseld

Éowyn, the White Lady of Rohan, on the steps of Meduseld in Edoras watching as her people march to their mountain redoubt at Helm’s Deep. She must weigh her feelings for the ranger from the far north, Strider, with the burden of her office and responsibility to the Rohirrim people in these perilous times.

Miniature Sheets: Regular perforated stamps set in an attached illustrated panel showing the origin of the stamp, each of which are derived from key scenes in ‘The Two Towers’ motion picture. This issue was released in New Zealand on 4 December 2002 and sold out quickly.
